چکیده

In the context of Pakistan, this research examines circular debt and energy usage effects on per capita income. It uses quarterly data from 2005 to 2020 an autoregressive distributed lag model look at link over short- long-term. According empirical study, whereas has a long-term significant negative association with income, it positive income in short term. This demonstrates how using power contributes economic expansion. Additionally, rise reduces near term, but convergence system equilibrium is confirmed by error correction term's considerable value. addition, study shows that consistent provision electricity help new technologically advanced plants would attaining high growth.

The electricity consumption and economic growth nexus: Evidence from Greece

This paper attempts to cast light into the relationship between electricity consumption and economic growth in Greece in a multivariate framework. For this purpose we used cointegration techniques and the vector error correction model in order to capture short-run and long-run dynamics over the sample period 1970–2011. The empirical results reveal that in the long-run electricity demand appears...

The Electricity Consumption and Economic Growth Nexus in Pakistan: A New Evidence

This study examines the Granger causality between electricity consumption and Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for Pakistan using annual data covering the period 1971 to 2007. Augmented Dickey-Fuller test and Phillips-Perron test reveal that both the series, after logarithmic transformation, are non-stationary and individually integrated at order one. Engle and Granger Cointegration test exhibits t...

Electricity consumption and economic growth empirical evidence from Pakistan

The present article uses the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) bounds testing procedure to identify the long run equilibrium relationship between electricity consumption and economic growth. TodaYamamoto andWald-test causality tests have identified the direction of the causal relationship between these two variables in the case of Pakistan in the period between 1971 and 2008. Ng-Perron and ...
